Getting to Whitby Pavilion
Aiming to make your journey as effortless as possible. If you are using a sat nav please ensure your final destination is the Whitby Pavilion.
From the North
From the North, simply follow the A171 down from Guisborough and prepare yourself for some stunning views out of the town and the sea. Or, if you’re already on the Yorkshire coast, simply follow the A171 up the coastline from Scarborough to Whitby.
From the South
From the South, you’ll likely be coming up on the A64. Then take the A169 around Malton, drive through Pickering and join the A169.
From the West
From the West, you’ll again likely be coming up on the A64. Then take the A169 around Malton, drive through Pickering and join the A169.
Rail
Whitby has a railway station in the middle of town. Northern Rail trains run to and from Whitby, but be aware you might have to make a change or two depending on where you’re coming from.
Busses
If you’d like to get the bus to Whitby, there’s a great Yorkshire based service that you can jump aboard. The Coastliner bus runs regularly and is a great way to take in the Yorkshire landscape.
West Cliff Car Park
You’ll find west Cliff car park on Pavilion Drive, YO21 3EG overlooking the dramatic Yorkshire coastline. It can accommodate 424 cars and 11 coaches for long stays and has disabled parking bays.
Parking charges are in operation 9am – 7pm in high season (1st March – 31st October) at the following prices:
Pavilion Top Car Park
To find the Pavilion Top car park, head up to North Terrace, YO21 3EN. It has 63 long stay spaces for cars plus CCTV, but there are no disabled bays available here and it’ll take you between 10 and 15 minutes to get from your car into town.
